All that you need to know about Techminator: Product Management Case Competition

This will be a live case competition where teams will be required to submit the solution according to the problem statement for a product. We will choose the top 6 groups, who will then present the case to a panel of external judges from HeyPM. Your solution stands a chance to be implemented if found feasible.


  • The competition is open for undergraduate and postgraduate students 
  • Each team can have 2-3 members 
  • Multiple teams from the same college are allowed 
  • Participants in the same team should be from the same college. All students in the same team must be pursuing the same degree 
  • A student cannot be part of more than one team 
  • The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following Terms & Conditions before registering:
    • All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Eximius, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore
    • The organizing committee holds the discretion to change the format and structure of the event at any point

Techminator: Stages and Timelines

Round 1

1 slider executive summary to be submitted along with a maximum of 2-page appendix. Participants may use the Lean Canvas. The submission should cover the following aspects: 1. Problem Identification in the existing product & Definition 2. User Segment Research / Understanding 3. Potential Solutions & Value proposition 4. Success Metrics (The case will be accessible upon registration).

Timeline: 06 Jul’21 12:00 AM IST – 28 Jul’21 11:59 PM IST

Round 2

The selected teams will move to round 2. The final presentation will be held on 21st – 22nd August in virtual format. Final PPT and any other supporting documents should be submitted on D2C before the presentation.
